The Bear Spray Bandit Strikes Again!
Martha Johnson believed in being prepared—maybe a little too prepared. On her first trip to Yellowstone, she stepped off the tour bus armed with not one, but two massive cans of bear spray strapped to her hips, looking like a cross between a park ranger and an Old West Gunslinger.
"You can never be too careful with bears around!" she declared, ignoring the bemused glances from her fellow travelers.
Midway through the hike, disaster struck—not from a bear, but from Martha herself. A misplaced hip bump against a tree set off one of her canisters, engulfing half the tour group in a fiery orange cloud. Coughing and teary-eyed, the guide managed to croak, "Everyone okay?"
Martha, sheepish but unharmed, dusted herself off. "Well," she said, "at least we know it works!"
From that day on, she was known as The Bear Spray Bandit—a legend among Yellowstone tourists and an unintentional protector of wildlife everywhere.
How did Martha find humor and resilience after the bear spray incident?
